My Origin Story
Uncovering My Soul’s Purpose
My Path to Healing and Living the Soul’s Journey
I am happy to say I am now living my passion to help others on their soul’s journey, here is how this passion is currently expressed. I love working with clients one-on-one, helping them to live their passion; clarifying their purpose and vision; and breaking it down into tangible goals so their passion is lived every day. I provide drumming and nature-based meditations to people in recovery at Advocates for Recovery Colorado in Westminster; as I am inspired by people who have hit rock bottom and are now reinventing themselves. At For Heaven’s Sake Metaphysical store, I provide drumming, nature based meditations and Shamanic journeys. I am a Religious Science Practitioner (RScP) at Mile Hi Church in Lakewood, serving in the Prayer and Care Center; as well as with the Middle and High School students Sunday mornings. I provide drumming, meditations and visioning processes to the men’s group and Wisdom Keepers at my church. I find these activities enriching, lighting me up with joy and purpose fulfilled.
My Soul Journey
I have always been intrigued by this mystery called life; a desire to know what is going on beneath the surface. I have endeavored to understand what constitutes a good life and how to go about living the good life. This natural curiosity about life served me well as I went on my journey of healing and transformation. The timeline that follows gives an overview of this journey. It tells the story from two different perspectives, the mundane experiences of life and the spiritual development that led to a better understanding of what is going on beneath the surface; realizing what truly matters in life.
In viewing the timeline, you will see how it all began with serious health issues. In an 18-month span, I dealt with my health, got divorced and filed for bankruptcy. This was my soul's call to awakening; I came to realize the way I was approaching life was no longer workable. This opened me up to things I would have previously dismissed.
As I healed, I gradually shifted from a stereotypical engineer (analytical and arrogant with poor social skills); to having an open heart and mind. This led to me becoming the man I am today; one who lives with compassion instead of cynically observing the life around him. I live seeking wisdom instead of thinking I know it all.
As I continued to heal, I was able to more clearly hear the voice of Spirit within directing me. Thus, through various workshops and classes, I was able to know my life's purpose as two-fold: 1) Participate in the Greater Awakening of Humankind and 2) Practice Unconditional Love. Also revealed was my vision to express my purpose as a healer-teacher, the spiritual coach that I am today. You will see how this all unfolded as I bumbled and stumbled through my life with spirit's guidance (whether recognized or not). Clearly there was less bumbling and stumbling and more graceful movement when I listened carefully for Spirit's guidance.

Living vision as a Life Coach

Quit job at LM, begin business as Life Coach but am unable to support myself
New manager demands I take full-time position or else be laid off
-I accept layoff and launch new career as Life Coach
Trouble finding clients
-One year in and saving is running out
-Begin searching for work as software engineer

I process what led to my business failure
-Spiritual component was missing in my coaching and in my life
-I was not part of a community - lone wolf does not succeed
-Inspiration needs to be supported by solid business plan
-I started business before I was ready
-At psychic fair, I receive feedback that I tried to pick the fruit before it was ripe; that hit home
-Good at coaching, but I did not have the skills to communicate the value of my coaching
-Although painful, I acknowledge I can’t support myself with coaching
-I vow to return to coaching once I retire

Reorganization on Orion project eliminates my job and I am laid off
-I retired coincident with my layoff.
I apply for social security and medicare; also have LM pension and retirement fund
-Now I have base income so can be relaxed about business income
Curses! Health issues dominate; thwarting start of business
-Excruciating pain with herniated disks
-Two stretches of several months with limited mobility
-Come down with Covid (holidays 2022)
-Ouch! Have tooth extracted

Actively Expressing Purpose As Spiritual Coach

Changes: Now I am ready to launch my spiritual coaching business! Although family issues dominate, I resume workshops and work on website . Healing and growth with my wife.
In summer of 2022, I am assaulted by family member
Criminal case for this family member assaulting me is dismissed, due to mental illness
Roughly one dozen court appearances over a 3-year period to rebuke mistaken beliefs and false accusations
-Court rules against family member in all cases, citing the accusations as frivolous and vexatious
Second parent’s health declining, moves from independent senior living to assisted living and finally to memory care unit
Healing in relationship with my wife
Yay! It is time to start up business
Find partner to collaborate with and begin work on website

Excited to contribute my experience and skill to help others
Being part of MHC community brings clients to me
-Lone wolf is gone
I learn how to support my wife by listening and being present vs. trying to fix her when upset about family
Opportunity to practice compassion and forgiveness with family member with mental illness
-Compassion for unaddressed mental illness and poor treatment by parents
-Forgiveness starts with willingness to let go of resentment and anger
-This frees me up to live my life and opens creative channels
-Without forgiveness, my energy is tied up in resentment
Relationships work best when each individual does their work and
takes that to the relationship; my wife and I make positive changes
in our relationship dynamic

-Each person takes on changes that are part of their growth
-Extend grace (refrain from being critical) to one another while each does their work

My Soul’s Journey Overview
So, you see that the soul's journey is not a linear, straightforward journey. There are detours: one step forward, two steps back; and looping and circling around, feeling like you're getting nowhere, and then the breakthroughs happen. These breakthroughs led to many mystical moments and significant healing on all levels - Physical, emotional, mental, and soulful. I am much more in tune with life's rhythms and feel confident I am living my purpose. I am in harmony with life and feel good about my role in helping humanity awaken to its true spiritual nature.
So, this is my story, and I know that my life’s experience gives me the insight I need to guide you on your journey.
